Okay so surprising as it was there isn’t any real mystery in the fact that Jay Manuel, J. Alexander and Nigel Barker aren’t coming back for next cycle of top model. Ratings aren’t what they used to be (and like after 9 years and 18 cycles that makes sense), the show’s budget is getting cut, their contracts are up.
It’s a major bummer, or well 2/3 of that is a major bummer, I’m pretty sad about it, but it’s not a mystery.
What IS mysterious is people acting like Nigel Barker was a really enjoyable good part of the show. Who likes Nigel Barker? He’s terrible. Just really unpleasant. Why am I suddenly seeing people talking about how he is one of the best parts of the show? Is it because they don’t want to make him feel bad by not including him when they talk about being sad about the Js leaving? I mean obviously he’s one of the iconic parts of the show, he’s been around since cycle two which was like LIFETIMES ago. But who is like wow I really love tuning in to watch Nigel Barker make uncomfortably sexual comments towards the contestants and just generally be a million times less charming then most everyone else on the show?
A lot of people apparently? MYSTERIOUS.
I am also mystified. Sure, he’s good-looking, but he’s terrible! He’s also a bad photographer. Just saying.
